Dec. 13th - Make a Gingerbread House
Children love to decorate and what better way to let them do that than to make a gingerbread house. You can bake the gingerbread using molds or if time doesn't allow buy a gingerbread kit from a store. The kits have everything you need: gingerbread house pieces, icing mix, and candy trim.
Making and decorating a gingerbread house is a great holiday tradition that your children will always remember. Each year you can try to make different ones. My daughter and I watched a Gingerbread House Contest on TV the other day and it really gave us some creative ideas.
Here are some great new books that you can read together with your children. Remember to read everyday! It provides a great example for your kids. It let's them know that reading is an important activity.
